Joris was the dog that started it all. By now, anyone familiar with The Bulldog story will know that our founder, Henk De Vries, was inspired to name The Bulldog after his beloved pet dog, Joris. Henk was passionate about UK culture, and Joris was an English Bulldog, so he thought the world’s first coffee shop should refer to two things close to his heart. Joris inspired the name and the logo of The Bulldog, and although its appearance has softened a little with age, it still shines brightly above the doorway of every The Bulldog in the world.

Joris Pound Cake: Heritage
This indica is cannabis royalty through and through. The lineage of this hybrid goes further back than the British Royal Family. A specially selected phenotype of London Pound Cake x Kush Mintz x Pure Afghani, Joris Pound Cake is a one-of-a-kind cultivar that will not disappoint. This predominantly sativa hybrid has a complex genetic background and is the perfect marriage of old-school and modern cannabis genetics. This is the ideal strain for the TB Seeds collection. Appearance
And what a plant. An expressive, vivid plant decorated with bell-shaped flowers that wouldn’t be out of place at the top of England’s most famous tower.
However, the plants left untopped will take on a Christmas tree-like structure and grow heavy flowers that will contrast from light greens to shades of light and dark purple. Joris Mink Cake can develop quite tall for a hybrid due to its sativa genetics, though it doesn’t stretch a lot and shouldn’t cause issues with height restrictions.
Growing
Though the plants can get tall, the indica genetics keep them balanced. If the height of the plants is an issue, you can always top them. Or, if you prefer, train them using a low-stress method. Joris Pound Cake: Performance
First, there are a few things worth noting about Joris Pound Cake. It is a perfect hybrid for making clones and topping, but they perform incredibly well if left untouched with no training. They are also fantastic resin producers and have proven successful with extractors and hash makers. JPC is a consistent performer. Grown in optimal conditions, these plants yield 500 – 750g per square meter of top-quality resin-covered flowers. It is one of the best things about this strain.
Taste and Aroma
However, don’t underestimate the taste. This mostly indica will have you craving pancakes fit for a Dutch King topped with fresh berries and covered in maple syrup with subtle undertones of mint.
